A BRIEF AUTOBIOGRAPHY 

People say that my name is Eduard Garcia-Ribera and my interest in astronomy started when I was a child, reading books and observing with binoculars and naked eye. Later on, telescopes arrived and I was able to extend my view of the sky. Finally I had the possibility to have a fixed observatory in ‘’Vall d’Ager”. According to the specialists, this place has the best observation conditions in Catalonia. I live in Balaguer a small city situated 30km from this incredible place.

My astronomic preferences are: Solar and galaxies photography and also the visual observation with big telescopes.

I am not a member of any political party, sports team or religious organisation and my mother land is located in any part of the universe, far away from flags, borders or countries. I definitely believe that astronomy, together with other things and activities can help to teach us to escape from both fanatic and absurd etiquettes. Our planet needs urgent action to deal with topics such as hunger, environment or alternative energy sources. However, it appears that there are other priorities than these. Humanity learns too slowly, bit by bit…
